LSU Baseball Games to be Televised

LSU baseball and Coach Mainieri’s first major test of the season will come this weekend when they face the #6 Georgia Bulldogs (#1 ranked in the Collegiate Baseball and USA Today/ESPN polls, but what do they know?!) in Athens and the cool things is…you’ll be able to watch it. LSU will be televising 16 of their second half games this season so if you can’t make it out to the unbelievable new Alex Box Stadium, you can sit back and enjoy it at home with a cold beer and your wife telling you to take out the trash while your dog humps your leg. Ok, maybe that’s my idea of a perfect Saturday. Here’s the complete LSU baseball television schedule. For some of the games you’ll have to sign up for the Geaux Zone, which you should have already, to be able to view the games. After the jump is the article from TAF for those of you who like to read the stuff from people who actually know how to use punctuation, in their writing?

LSU Basketball Moves Further Up in National Polls, #11 & #12
The Tigers piled on two more wins last week and continued their hot streak in the SEC. Now, LSU has won 13 straight conference games, 10 straight overall and for the 3rd week in a row, rise in the national ranks. The Tigers find themselves at #11 in today’s ESPN/USA Today poll and #12 in the AP poll. See the new polls here.
Some quick poll-analysis: the only teams with higher winning percentages than LSU are UCONN, UNC, Memphis, Pitt, and Oklahoma. The top 10 in both polls are almost identical, however, the 11-20 ranks of both polls involve the same teams, but the order is comparably different. For example, Villanova is #11 in the AP and #16 in the ESPN/USA Today. (more after the jump…)
All that doesn’t really matter, just something I noticed.
