OK…OK…..I’m Sure C. Scott is Fine

simpsons_nelson_hahaAllllright…..Settle down, you fools.  It’s April 1st!  Everybody else had their jokes today, so we thought we come up with one at the expense of our valued readers.  But have no fear, it was even confirmed by a football player I tutor that Charles Scott is well and resting after today’s practice with no broken bones.

We here at lsutopia.com have prayed to the football gods all day long and believe me, I’ve knocked on wood about 50 times today in hopes that nothing happens to #32 or any other player this season.  Hopefully it works and we enter the fall with all our players healthy and injury free.  A little bit more after the jump….

We had fun at your expense and it may not feel good right now…..but watch THIS!! and you’ll feel better.

Is LSU Football’s ’09 Season Over Before it Begins?!?

78222634CP103_AllState_BCS_Just as Tiger fans were beginning to get excited about the upcoming football season, the LSU train has derailed before it even got moving.  About halfway through yesterday’s practice in a 7-man offense drill, Charles Scott, LSU’s star running back, ran into a defender while turned back towards the QB catching a pass.  The collision resulted in a clean break of the tibia, the largest of the two leg bones below the knee cap.

The injury is a devastating one to the Tigers and Scott’s season as it was reported that the recovery time will likely run through the end of the fall.  Sure there are other running backs on the roster, Keiland Williams, Richard Murphy and others, but Scott was the rock that LSU depended on last year and was going to look to the most this year.  More after the jump…..

This will possibly result in true freshman Michael Ford seeing more snaps in practice and maybe getting some playing time in games this season.  Charles will most likely receive a medical red shirt and hold on to his last year of eligibility and will play next season.
